Description
This is the one, the clutch that changed everything for owners and riders of Knuck’s, Pan’s and Shovel’s. Chucking the old skool coil springs and studs, this clutch utilizes state-of-the-art diaphragm spring technology to drastically improve clutch engagement and virtually eradicate clutch wrist fatigue. Gone are the days of clutch slippage, creeping and hard to get into neutral frustration!

*** HELLO BEN! … I am one of Your Old “RP” customers #604411 ……. What’s the LIST PRICE? .. and .. DEALER PRICE on 1056-0002 ? __________ ? ………. AND ……. same question on Taperlite Pushrods ? ___________ ? …… THANKS! Paul / VERNS Machine Engineering ***
Hi Paul, I do not have the 1056-0002 ready yet, probably another 7 weeks before I can ship or give you pricing. I am not sure when I am going to do the Taperlite pushrods, the clutches, baskets, belt drives and SU parts will come before that. All my old dealers from Rivera are now dealers for American Prime by default as are you. Sorry for the time delay, but I have a limited amount of money and have to do this in stages!
Can’t wait for the comp master clutch and Su carb to become available! I need one of each bad!
Hi John, Working as fast as I can. Please bear with me while I sort things out!!
Ben
hi i like the tapper push rods alot for shovels , because they simple work, also you have the best pro clutch setups i have found so far,,,i am a old dealer,,,and a bad speller ,,
Hi Robert, I appreciate your comments and interest, however you need to understand that you are not talking to Rivera Primo. We are American Prime Mfg. Inc. and we are manufacturing a product line similar to what Rivera Primo was making. We are in no way affiliated with or endorsed by Rivera Primo. That being said, we although we are not making a product similar to the Taper-Lite pushrods by Rivera at this time, we are manufacturing the Comp Master™ Clutch series which is very similar to the Pro Clutch by Rivera. In fact, all the Comp Master™ parts will interchange directly with Rivera clutch parts of the same type and application.
will this unit fit in the stock clutch basket or would I have to change that also?
All our clutches are made to fit into the stock OE clutch baskets. Our 1056-0002 Comp Master™ Clutch will fit inot a OE basket or any aftermarket basket that was made to fit the original stud and coil spring clutch.

Are the comp clutch kits available for the 36-84 yet?
Yes Sir!! 1056-0002 on our website.
I’m building a shovel & want to use your 1056-0002 in a 3″ open primary. I have an old belt & Primo basket with the big hole (race) that was designed for the stud/coil spring style clutch. You’re saying I can’t use this basket with your 1056-0002 correct? Your comments in the above conversations are a little confusing & maybe that’s due to ignorance on my part. So, who makes a complete 3″ open primary for a 4 speed that accepts your 1056-0002?
Thank you
Jeff
His Jeff. I must have lost the beginning thread to this conversation. The 1056-0002 will fit perfect into what you are describing above (unless I am missing something…).
Ok. Thank you.
Just found y’all. Love the pro clutch. Just didn’t know where to get replacement stuff. I need the part that goes on the mainshaft taper.
That would be a 2061-0003. Available on our website.
Hello Ben, Alex Esposito from Conn. Thinking about getting clutch set up for my ’72 shovel. Saw you on Facebook.
Hi Alex! Call me on my cell phone on Monday.
Alex. Please call us at 562-321-1989.
Are the comp master clutch kits available in Australia anyway that you know of
Hi Russell, Our distributor in Australia is KPR Industries in Brisbane. Their phone number is (07) 325 64289. You can also buy them off our website at http://www.americanprimemfginc.com
Hello have Sifton clutch, can hardly pull lever, VERY small bankroll. Can you suggest where to go for a weaker diaphram/pressure plate for Sifton clutch pack in ’78 StupidGlide? Thanks, Sorry for the bother. ~Geo
Hi Geo, Unfortunately, I do not have enough knowledge of the sifton clutch to give you a good answer. Although we make several different springs for different power applications, I do not know if any of them will work on your clutch. Normally I would suggest that you get our Comp Master™ clutch and do away with the OE hub system entirely, however if you are working with a small budget that may not fit your needs at this time.
